“Parents who are afraid to put their foot down usually have children who step on their toes”
It's my credence that the journey of your life begins at home where you learn to share, give and gift. It's place where you learn to help others. Most importantly, it's a place where you are nurtured.
Love and affection are not the only two ingredients for one to grow in life. There is something more to it.....

Even though the famous axiom says - Spare the rod and spoil the child, it has never really bothered me. I'll tell you why. I have a twin sister. So, there are have been numerous times in our parents life which proved to be troublesome. The fights over silly matters, the serious and not-so-serious issues, the twosome crimes and the list can go on. All part of what people generally term as a 'sibling rivalry.' But as far as my mind takes me back, i can never recollect my parents implementing the axiom. In, fact they have been understanding and liberal to the core.
Yet, mark it when i say, when a situation demands, i have never seen anyone as obstinate and hostile. They make sure that the funda of 'we are extremely offended', 'you have let us down' and 'you'll understand when you have children of your own' news reach our ears. I guess my mother's silence is as spooky as a haunted house, and her barks are as deadly as a lion's roar! Trust me, it's difficult to survive that! Phew!
Hold on, we are forgetting something here. Their reactions on a certain matter would help us realize that we have hurt them. You might feel shunned for the time being, thinking that your parents are always looking for a chance to get you by the neck but hey! stop being selfish.
Be in their shoes, you have brains so contemplate......
To make us feel that we have gone wrong drastically, to make things right in us, for us, we need our ma and dad to tell us about the mess we got ourselves into and the catastrophic consequences that we might have faced.
I think i have said enough for all of you to understand exactly what this is all about.
Yes, it takes cruel to be kind...sometimes......
