Are You Giving Up?

"The minute you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on for so long"

Never give up on something that you have always believed in.

They tell you to stop, they say that you are not worthy enough. They say you can't do it. Well, I don't really blame them who say it. If you don't believe in yourself, trust me, no one will do it for you.

So, what's your reason for giving up? You can't walk anymore? You are crippled with fear of what they will say? Too crippled to run? Are you lost? What is it!

pickthebrain.com
They say you are not worthy of her, so you leave her. They say you are not worthy of your job, so you resign. They say you are not worthy of playing so you lose the game. They say you are not worthy of living so you start surviving. They say you are not worthy of life, so you quit living.

So, what is that made you hold on for so long? Why didn't you die the day your senses told you that you are good-for-nothing? What is it that kept you going? It's you who needs to dream, who needs to live, who needs to prove that you are one in a million.

You don't really need to run fast or compete with others. Competing with yourself is enough. Running is enough. Go ahead and do it, even though there might be voices calling you back. Go ahead and achieve what you have always wanted to, in life, even though there might be invisible threads trying to hold you back....

Go ahead and finish what you are asked not to. Love the one you are forbidden to. Enjoy things that you are deprived of. And love yourself for being who you are....

Remember it is only you who can stop you from dreaming. And it's only you who can stop yourself from giving up. Make yourself an EXCEPTION because this world has too many people who give up and too few who have never learned to 'call it quits'.

How Much Are You Worth?

"Self-worth comes from one thing - thinking that you are worthy". Wayne Dyer

Just how much are you worth, to yourself and others around you? A penny, million dollars or priceless? Have you ever given it a thought? You might be leading a life, when you are loved and truly cared for. But there comes a time when your being starts to lose a meaning to your loved one and you start doubting yourself.

In life, it is important to stand up for yourself, voice your opinion, live your own life and do what you want to do. But love and care almost always binds you in doing something else just to see that sparkling smile on his face. And you are completely satisfied and happy doing it, like joyous that you are! You are gonna go all the way, break rules, step beyond boundaries to love him and do everything you can....

But then there comes day when you are bound to question yourself what is exactly your worth? You are going to find people telling you that your one mistake, a single wrong-doing leaves everything you ever did, UNDONE! You hear that, believe in it and you break down. What utterances! What loud words! Incapable of you to take it in! But then you do, you comply thinking yourself to be absolutely unworthy for the person's love and care!

But still you live and you love, because that one person is rooted there beside you like your pillar.....

But wait, there is a question I keep asking myself. What is more vital for my living being - what others think of me, or what I think of myself. Is it really important to take in how others judge me, or where I see myself standing? But then all goes in vain when you have already believed in their words.

You are going to come across people, in varieties. While some would stay, others would leave. Some with footprints, and others silently. Your parents, friends, lovers, all of them might judge you from time to time. Blame you, confront you, question you, break you and again make you, because they love you with all their mighty hearts.

Living life with people around, it is not quite possible to live on our own terms. And you should not, not worth it! But what you can do is, believe in yourself, in who you are. Discover and find yourself from your own ashes. Remember you are priceless, a star that shines even in the darkest night. Value yourself if you want your loved ones to value you. Take yourself for granted....

Because for others you might be worth nothing. But to yourself you are worth everything.

Sunny Side Up!

Finally! Finally I was able to do it!

House chores? No no no! Don't even tell me about them. They give me nightmares and goose bumps. And of course a tremendous Mummy noise too! Guess what! I hate doing them because i am ssoooooo bad at them! At home I am like this "you keep me away from the chores and i am sure to dance with joy" sort of lady who wants to nearly hide in the cupboard or become temporarily invisible whenever she hears her name being called to lend a hand for some house work.

Phew! But of course there is no escaping. Anyway, if there is anything i kind of 'like' doing while at home (because most of the times i am not), is making a good breakfast for anyone who wants it. The usual king's breakfast of toast and eggs, milk and butter, and fruits and jam. Well! it's easy and fun! No extra effort needed, it's all at the table in a few minutes time. Phew!

Now, the only thing that has grown to be a real favorite of mine in the past two days is a sunny-side-up! After days of toils, two mornings back i could finally come up with five perfect looking poached eggs. I am so glad! I actually saw this glittery pride in my sister's eyes. And we both exchanged a quick 'oh yes!' glance. It's only her who actually knew how hard i worked towards it.

The sunny-side-ups looked just as picturesque as in the picture. A sunny day it was for me amidst the rains!

Nothing is out of your reach, if you want it to happen with all your heart. The important thing is to go on striving and give everything in your strength till you succeed.

For me this was definitely an achievement, a small one though, but it was!

What It Takes To Be Strong.....

"You never really know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have left"

People talk about being free. Free from everything. In fact, many of you out there are actually living on your own terms having the gala most times of your life without having to think about anything or anyone. It feels great isn't it? To be just yourself, not caring a damn about the world! Born free, being free...

Each one of us want to lead a kind of lifestyle where there would be nothing at all to get us upset. We try and escape everything that tends to take place around us. But, sometimes  that's not enough. It's just not enough to experience the 'happy! happy!' moments and hours in life.

To know life we need to have knowledge of what saddens us. It is vital that we experience the existence of melancholy and miseries. Look i am not trying to be philosophical, neither am i telling you, my reader that it's any of your business or something that should be of utmost importance to you.

Yet scribbling down such 'avoidable facts' helps me to be strong, really strong! Trust me. That's all anyone can want. To be strong and not break down with all failing circumstances. Nearly all of us complain about the current state of life that we are in, always desiring for a better one, never overlooking the pain, hurt and disappointment in the process. Why?? What's wrong in feeling the bondage? What's wrong in enduring certain harsh realities? Why can't we embrace the hardships? And why are we so weak to accept failure?

It's tough to face setbacks, nearly impossible to keep a smile on your face when all you can do is just cry inside. Yet, value the baffling moments of your life. Respect them. Each of these brings with it a lesson. Learn them. They are there for a reason....

It takes a lot to be strong, to fight. Tell yourself this, Joy will come and knock your door only when it knows that you are brave enough to handle all the disappointments that surround you.

You will only be happy when you have known the pain by taking the merry-go-round ride. That's the taste of Joy. That's the essence of life.

A Date With Oneself...

"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition.  What you'll discover will be wonderful.  What you'll discover is yourself." - Alan Alda

It's too easy for us to give ourselves away to the world. Work, family, relationships, peers, and future, all of them have a tremendous influence over us. We tend to hide in them. We tend to sway to everything that's happening around us.

Losing oneself to something is important, it's essential to life. But not to an extent, where it becomes nearly impossible for us to rediscover ourselves. Discovering one's true identity in this ever so confusing world is an herculean task that lies ahead of us...

We go for dates with dear ones.  We treat others, others treat us! We spend time thinking and contemplating about everything and everyone. But, ask yourself, which is the time of the day, or week or month when you actually spend it alone all by yourself. When was the last time you were alone, dating yourself. Treating yourself to just what you like.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a real date of munching and crunching, watching movies and experiencing a shopping spree. You don't always have to compromise on your bank account. There are things which come free in life...

Things like cooking a giant meal to eat, watching a favorite film on your PC, spending hours reading your favorite book, taking a walk in the deserted lane, or just plain thinking about yourself, where you are headed for or what is it that makes you completely happy  and miserably sad, are good enough.

Our minds are never void of worries, of things which are ready to pounce and knock and break us every time we sit back with our eyes closed trying our best to think of those very few 'glorious' moments....

Yet, i strongly feel that there has to be a moment when all we know is loneliness. Yes i mean it.  Take some time off to discover the person in you by doing for a change what you want to do. Only then will you get a satisfaction and true desire to do for others.

Trust me, there is nothing else that would make you happier.

From Friends To Strangers.....

"Moving on is simple, what you leave behind that makes it difficult."

It was a sunset in the horizon of a beautiful friendship. Standing in the cross roads of life, it often makes me wonder where i went wrong in realizing the true essence of it. Trust me, if there is anyone i seriously can blame, it's me. May be i didn't try hard enough.  May be i should have tried harder...

You really do not need too many friends, all you need is just one person to fulfill an entire universe. It's that time when all you actually want to do is have the fun of a lifetime! All the laughters laughed together, all tears shed together and all silly, stupid things done together. That's what you experience when you have your best friend with you.

I had that friend in my life but for butterfly days. I often hear people say heavens getting envious of one's happiness. May be that was what took away the sublime bliss that i felt at the time. For days we took fooling around to its zenith. Cracking funny jokes,  and fighting over silly matters were the only things that we took seriously, things that actually mattered. Those two years of my life was considerably one of the most memorable ones.

I never really knew that a simple misunderstanding can create havoc in one's life. Well, then i knew though. It was a feeling of the world falling apart, a feeling of complete destruction and void. These feelings were so new to me. I was too busy having merriment to understand that nothing ever lasts forever.

From strangers to friends. From friends to being best friends. And then strangers again.......

Never let any misunderstandings come in the way of trust in friendship. Don't let anything ever take the power to damage a beautiful relationship. It's everything that matters in life while you are still alive. Breathing.

I kept it vague. Its for you to find what this blog can give.

Being in Love...

"There is only one happiness in life -- to love and to be loved." - George Sand

Courtesy: entertainmentpk.com
If there is anything which can make your life worth living is love. There are very few people who are blessed by the Lady Luck to have love in their lives.

Being in love is to be happy. It is to make your soul satisfied with the fulfillment of being able to share your joys and sorrows and everything else with someone you so dearly care for. It's an inexplicable feeling that all  of us have the right to experience, and yet only few of us actually get.

When you have a person right beside you to take your breath away, to make every moment precious for you, make you dance to all his tunes,  make you love like never before, make you forget all that fatigues you, it's then you know that you are head over heals in love.

It's when most of the conversations that you have with him are nothing but meaningful expressions and sparling looks, when everything you think of doing is for your 'sweetheart', giving is what you want to do and you want just the smile of genuinity  in return, that's when you know that you can never love again.

It's when you know that your reactions and actions will make a rooted difference to him, when a mere look at him sets your heart racing and all you do is wait to see him again. When holding his hand makes you feel you have captured the world, when the slightest touch electrifies each nerve in you, thats when you know what being in love is.

It's when you live for a moment called forever! It's when the sacrifices you make seem to be the perfect part in you. It's when all the imperfections are welcomed. It's when your laugh has no hidden pain, and the telepathies are at their zenith. ...That's when you know you are in love.

It's when each star shines down on you....

Being in love is what i call life. What do you call it?

P.S - "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.'  - Helen Keller.

Give To Be Happy!

"The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up."  - Mark Twain

We often hear the wise talking about 'gift of giving'. And the saying  holds good for all time to come.  To give is to make others happy. To give is to sacrifice. It's all about that overwhelming smile on your loved one's face. You partially give up your own happiness, wants, joy and demands to fulfill all of them for those significant people in your life. That's how  it makes you beautiful.

'Giving' is what i have learnt from ma. I have grown up seeing her give a 'gift called life' to everyone around her selflessly. Never thinking about herself in the process.  I was amazed to see how that made her happy. I guess that's how someone can define the ultimate happiness.

Even if you are in pain, even if the world around you seems to crash down, even if you need to hide your tears to make your dear ones strong and happy, so be it! In return what you are going to receive is an unknown fulfillment.

There are many of us who are blessed with beauty by the Almighty. Yet, the apparent looks that we possess is vulnerable to the ones replacing them. They go as swiftly as them come. Eternal is what you do, how you behave and what's you contribution in somebody's life. This determines your inner beauty and worthiness.

" Act as if what you do makes a difference.  It does."  - William James

A Language Of Nature!!

‎"There must be a language that does not depend on words...." - The Alchemist.

Each one of us need to spend some quality time with ourselves, to figure out what we are, who we can be, where we come from, and finally where we are headed towards. My dear reader, you must be thinking how i am going to connect this statement to Nature. Alright then, take a minute out and go back to what i have quoted from the famous Paulo Coelho.

Courtesy: thegreatillusion.com
I don't know how many of you would agree with me but i feel this strongly that the time spent alone is the time with Nature. Most of us fail to understand the connections that we share with 'Her'. Come to think of it. Don't you feel that soft breeze blowing over your face trying to talk to you, when you are walking alone along the deserted lane?

The water-flowing let's me know about the journey to move on.....

How do you feel when you hear the birds chirping to the tunes that you keep humming to yourself while sitting on a bench right by the river bank?

I realized this fact nearly four years ago when i started my daily swimming lessons.

The feel of the water gripping you tight, right after you plunge into it is a beautiful experience. A feeling of going numb with nothing but the gushing sound of waters makes you forget everything that's bothering you, even if it's for a time being.

You see, Nature has it's own way, it's own language of making you strong and weak. Happy and sad. Love and Hate. The sudden storm, and the unusual placid behaviour of Nature, signifies just what we feel within ourselves.

What i have written rather 'scribbled' down might seem totally unsinkable to many and yet if you think about it, you will find an incredible relationship with Her. Let's learn the language of Nature...Let's learn to live alone.....

Finally, the reason behind my dedicating the first blog to Nature. When someone is happy, complete with joy and breathes in the purest of air, stars tend to shine down on them. They help to guide you.  STARS!! Nature's part in the firmament....

And so i named my blog...and so my first blog...

I have a star in my life..Do you??
